Bug 1484

Summary: escape character does not work over shared connections
Product: Portable OpenSSH Reporter: Devin Bayer <web>
Component: sshAssignee: Assigned to nobody <unassigned-bugs>
Status: CLOSED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal CC: djm
Priority: P3
Version: 5.0p1
Hardware: Other
OS: Mac OS X

Description Devin Bayer 2008-07-09 18:41:34 AEST
To reproduce:

$ ssh -MNfe \~ some.host.com
$ ssh some.host.com
type RETURN ~
a tilde is printed

Removing the -e option doesn't help. Adding the -e option to the second invocation doesn't help. It works fine when not using a shared connection.

OpenSSH_5.0p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8g 19 Oct 2007

Also version 4.7 is affected.
