Description dsprackl 2001-12-19 05:24:41 AEDT
Download built and installed openssh-3.0.2p1 for several machines. Solaris7 machnes no problem. Linux RedHat 6.1 ssh works but scp has problems.
If I scp copy a file from Solaris or cygwin Windows to linux boxes no problem. If I scp copy a file from linux box to Solaris or Windows I get a zero byte file.
When starting scp on linux box and scp to Solaris, Windows, or another linux the copy does not end. I have to hit ctrl c to break. scp between linux boxes
either gives me a zero byte file for getting or a continuous file for putting. I tried sftp and it seems to work. It's only scp that's having problems.

It works here on RedHat 6.2
Perhaps you need some updates on your linux machine. (ftp://updates.redhat.com)
