sftp prints "Connecting to x.x.x.x..." on stderr, even when in batch mode, therefore making it annoying to use in a cron script, if you'd like to get mailed stderr output if there is an error, but not every time it runs. It would be nice if sftp either didn't print this message while in batch mode, or if there was a option to suppress it.
