Description Kevin Range 2004-10-26 08:05:12 AEST
X forwarding does not seem to be working. When I log into a remote machine, I
can start X programs fine, so my config seesm good on both ends. However, there
are two glitches:

1) If I am logged in for a while without staring an X app, I am unable to start
one. For example, I have been logged into this window for a couple of hours,
but when I try to make an X connection:

rangek@balt [~] % xpdf
Xlib: connection to "localhost:18.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
LTK Error: Cannot connect to X server localhost:18.0

2) If I start emacs, and try to select some text, it crashes:

rangek@balt [~] % emacs
X protocol error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) on protocol request 38

This happens regardless of ther server version.
