Description Jakub Jelen 2015-08-25 22:43:32 AEST
To the set of related bugs (2398, 2397) for AuthenticationMethods option, there is one documentation issue.

I know that there is "none" authentication method, specified by RFC4252, but the usage in the above mentioned option can be misleading, since the "none" value can be used in other options as a safe default.

From my point of view, there should be short note about this value in the documentation, for example like this:

> The special meaning has method "none", that will always fail, unless the client is to be granted access without any authentication

Yeah, the documentation for AuthenticationMethods needs a bit more work - we should document all the available authentication methods and/or provide something like "ssh -Q" to list them (not sure whether it belongs in the client though...)

Move incomplete bugs to openssh-7.6 target since 7.5 shipped a while back.

To calibrate expectations, there's little chance all of these are going to make 7.6.
