This is a meta bug to track bugs intended to be fixed for the 4.4/4.4p1 release.
Move in outstanding bugs from 4.3
Move out bugs that require changes to core OpenSSH to 4.5/4.5p1 tracking bug #1222 Some portable-only bugs remain here, which we have a chance of fixing now.
Also worth mentioning in the release notes for 4.4: the new ExitOnForwardFailure ssh_config option.
