Description Devin Bayer 2008-07-09 18:41:34 AEST
To reproduce:

$ ssh -MNfe \~ some.host.com
$ ssh some.host.com
type RETURN ~
a tilde is printed

Removing the -e option doesn't help. Adding the -e option to the second invocation doesn't help. It works fine when not using a shared connection.

OpenSSH_5.0p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8g 19 Oct 2007

Also version 4.7 is affected.
Comment 1 Damien Miller 2008-07-09 22:35:45 AEST
This is fixed in the forthcoming openssh-5.1 release. This release is ready for testing, please see:
