Description J.A. Neitzel 2009-04-13 05:22:31 AEST
The objective of this project is to improve the current OpenSSH sftp client to allow its use as a drop-in replacement for scp. This requires implementing both recursive uploads/downloads and an scp-compatible command-line interface. It is noteworthy that the scp command has an `-r' flag to "recursively copy entire directories" between network hosts (from scp(1) manual page), but sftp does not currently support this behavior except by manual user intervention in interactive mode. Additionally, sftp interactive-mode tab completion will be integrated.

The existent bugs included in this project plan include: bug 634, bug 520, and bug 200 . This project could also indirectly address other reported bugs. I am certainly open to suggestions on this front.

Further information about this project is available at http://gsocsftp.v6shell.org/ .

the homepage http://gsocsftp.v6shell.org/ no longer exists, so i guess the project is dead ?

bug 520 & bug 200 have been implemented in latest versions now too.

i guess reopen if you had some updates & concrete work to share.

closing bugs resolved before the openssh-8.9 release
