Created attachment 2031 [details] default sshd_config patch /etc/ssh/sshd_config: "The strategy used for options in the default sshd_config shipped with OpenSSH is to specify options with their default value where possible, but leave them commented. Uncommented options change a default value." Strictly speaking, the values are not changed by uncommenting alone. It might be better to use something like "uncommenting overrides default values" (patch attached). (original bugreport: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=687520)
Seems reasonable to me. Applied, will be in 5.9. Thanks.
close resolved bugs now that openssh-5.9 has been released
