OpenSSH 6.8 has just been released, at least according to https://www.openssh.com/txt/release-6.8 It would be nice if the release notes used dates. Thank you.
It's an archival copy of the release announcement and we generally do not edit them after the fact. If you're after dates, the main release notes page (https://www.openssh.com/releasenotes.html, linked to from the top level page) has them. There's anchors pointing to each release (eg https://www.openssh.com/releasenotes.html#6.8).
Even the most recent release notes are not dated. It would be nice if future ones were.
OK we've modified the releasenotes script to insert the date and done a one-time pass over the release-* files to add dates to the ones using the current format (ie back to 3.0). The last of the changes will be live on openssh.com shortly. Thanks.
