I have used OpenSSH for several years on HP-UX 11.11 with IPv6.
When I change from openssh-3.7.1p2 to openssh-3.8p1, sshd does not
listen to IPv6 any more. IPv4 is still OK.

If I copy the configure script from openssh-3.7.1p2 to openssh-3.8p1
then I can make a workable openssh-3.8p1 

The ChangeLog says:

 - (dtucker) [configure.ac] Bug #748: Always define BROKEN_GETADDRINFO
   for HP-UX 11.11.  If there are known-good configs where this is not
   required, please report them.  ok djm@

Could that be related to the problem ??

Yes, that's probably it.  For a quick fix, you can delete "#define
BROKEN_GETADDRINFO 1" from config.h and recompile.

What patches do you have installed on your 11.11 box?  Does name DNS resolution
work properly?

I'm closing this as a dupe and reopening bug #748 since whatever we do should
(hopefully!) work in both cases.  Please follow up to 748 so all of the relevant
info it in one place.

I have used the two years old IPv6 patch from HP-UX.

I have used BIND 9.3.0 snapshot for more than a year, so DNS works perfectly.
